The Volunteer Friendly Award

We involve volunteers because they are motivated, have fun helping and tell us it lets them give something back to the community. Volunteers are crucial to Brae.

Volunteer Dundee celebrated the 2016-2017 achievers of the Volunteer Friendly Award for excellence in volunteer management at a Civic Reception hosted by the Lord Provost where awards were presented to 20 groups who had achieved or renewed the award by Deputy Lord Provost Bill Campbell.

Groups represented from a wide range of voluntary sector organisations: Brae Riding for the Disabled, Ardler Village Trust, Brooksbank Centre, Boomerang Centre, The Hilltown Project, Starter Packs Dundee, Maxwell Centre, Dundee Carers Centre, Dundee International Womens Centre, Neon Digital, Ninewells Community Garden, Rock Solid Youth Project, Tayberry Enterprises, Discovery Credit Union, Ardler Village Trust, Dundee University Students Association, MidLin Daycare, The Corner, Save by the Bell, Advocating Together, with many volunteers contributing towards the activities and valued services to communities in Dundee.

There are 60 organisations in Dundee who currently hold the award that is renewed every 3 years.
