The Volunteer Friendly Award

We involve volunteers because they are motivated, have fun helping and tell us it lets them give something back to the community. Volunteers are crucial to Brae.

Mary Sneddon, Centre Manager,
Brae RDA Partnership (Riding for the Disabled).

Wendy Taylor is moving to pastures new after 5 years supporting Volunteer Friendly Award in Dundee and across Scotland. She is moving to England and will still be working in the Voluntary Sector supporting Volunteers.

"It has been a privilege to work with organisations to achieve the Volunteer Friendly Award and supporting them to improve their volunteeer management practice over the past 5 years. The award is a great tool for organisations to support them to review and develop their volunteer management practice and I have developed the process to use an online e-portfolio which makes it easier to access. Although I am moving back to England I am not completing leaving as will continue to volunteer as a peer assessor for the award."

Wendy Taylor, Volunteering Team Leader

All at Volunteer Dundee and Volunteer Friendly wish Wendy all the best in her new endeavours.
